Sword Art Online: Alicization T.V. Media Review Episode 2

Don’t be late for prayers!

Kirito has awoken, though he’s about to run into several problems. Waking up into Underworld already has him questioning the situation. He can not recall his memories leading up to this moment. In fact, his memories of the outside world should normally be blocked while playing Underworld. Something isn’t quite right, so he’ll just log off, right? Well, the option to log off has vanished, and he can not contact anyone for help. Still, there’s a whole world out there. Someone might be able help him figure out what’s going on. Kirito’s first encounter with another individual is an all too familiar face. Eugeo, the friend he once shared a lifelong task and horrific memory with, has come again. The memories may now differ on both sides, yet they’re both quick reunite a forgotten friendship.

Episode 2 is all about questions with no answers. First, Kirito can not remember being attacked. His last memory in the real world is him departing Agil’s bar. How he ended up inside Underworld is a complete mystery to him. Moreover, one must remember how full-diving inside Underworld works. Normally a player does not retain their memories made inside the game. As such, Kirito can not remember Alice or Eugeo, although both those names bring up vague past memories. Nevertheless, the loss of Alice is not forgotten by Eugeo. Her punishment on that fateful day will forever connect these two. Anyhow, it’s time to adjust to the new virtual life. Enjoy the Underworld!
